I have downloaded version 1.05 of the AJAX DATA GRID. It throws all sorts of JS errors begining with:
While executing onLoad in dmGRid.htm the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 471 of file "C:\ProgramFiles\Abdobe\AdobeDreamweaver CS4\Configuiration\Shared\DMXZone\dmxGrid.lib.js": type has no properties.

Needless to say it doesn't load.

Prior to this I had a number of difficulties and was unable to edit previously established grids. The errorsWhen I click on the Grid in Design View, I get this error multiple times.

While executing inspectSelection in dmxGrid.htm, a JavaScript error occured.

If I go to the properties box and click on Advanced, I get the error twice, and the DMXzone AJAX Data Grid dialog box loading, and the Grid never loads. If I click cancel, I get a 3rd repitition of the above error.

If I select the Grid in the Design view, get through the two errors, then go to the Insert Menu, DMXzone, AjaxDataGrid, I get this message twice.

While executing onLoad in dmxGrid.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:

uncaught exception: JSON Parse error:

TypeError: o[x].replace is not a function

I have deleted DW cache, unistalled and installed the extension three times and nothing works.

I have also noticed that when I has the calendar extension installed, it would cause a number of similar JS errors.

What is wrong and more importantly how does one fix this ?

Thank you,

Hello Bill,

Now try in following order:
1. Remove the extension and restart DW.
2. Close DW, delete its cache file and restart itagain.
3.Close DW, install the extension and restart DW.

Awaiting your feedback.

You solution did not work. I had tried that earlier. What I had to do was to reinstall DW CS4 and then reinstall the DMX Extensions. It is now working.

Thank you

Hello Bill,

Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes, this is necessary to reinstall not the DW itself, but the extensions you have.

I am having this same problem. I have also removed the extension, cleared out the cache, even uninstalled and reinstalled dreamweaver cs4 ... and I'm still having the problem.

I sent an email several days ago ... and have yet to hear back from anyone. Like another poster said ... I have paid a fair amount for this bundled package.

I do understand errors ... but, not hearing back from anyone is a big problem.

Please provide additional help!!!!!!!!!!!11

Hello,

Please, check out following FAQ.
Verify that you don't have the extension mentioned in that topic installed.

Hello M.

I received an email from your group, thank you!

However, when I responded I received a message from the mailer deamon saying it was "undeliverable". so, I'll respond here.

In you email you said the type of errors I'm getting generally occur when people are trying to use the tag in a static rather than dynamic page. You ask what type of page I was attempting to use this with.

It's a coldfusion cfm page.

Now, since my first message ... I've realized that I'm having trouble getting dreamweaver and my testing server talking the way they should.

I'm running mssql 2008 express on my local machine as a development server.

For now, I'm going to work on solving the testing server issue first. Then I will see if I still have this issue with the ajax datagrid extension.

I you have any other suggestions, I'd be happy to have them.

Thanks again for the response.

Take Care,

Rob

Alright fella's ...

I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything. I have solved the problem with my dreamweaver not connecting to my testing server.

However, I still have the error when I try to launch the Ajax DataGrid extension. Two errors, 1) patterns have no properties & 2) editor has no properties.

As I mentioned, It's a coldfusion cfm page, running mssql 2008 on my local machine as a developement platform.

Please help ... looking forward to using this.

Thanks,

Rob

Hello Rob,

On the requirements tab of the Ajax DataGrid's page it's said:

QuoteServer Model: ASP JavaScript, ASP VBScript, PHP MySQL

It does not support coldfusion pages.

Hello Teodor,

Alright, well ... I was really hoping to be able to use this extension. I'm not sure where that leaves me.

Is a refund possible?

Hello Teodor,

How nice. So, your policy is ... I should have read the fine print. And, you are correct. But, I was so interested in what this extension looked like it would do ... that I failed to read everything. That is correct. It's also good business to work with developers.

Here's the deal ... from now on, you can count on me reading the fine print and any time I see "DMXzone" attached to it ... I will avoid it.

Every time I have ask for help, it has take 24 hours to get any response. I will post on every freak'n blog I can find ... that people should avoid your company!

Thanks again for your steller support and business practices!
