Hi

Using IE8

advancedHtml Editor 2 submits the form when a toolbar button is pressed. ie the toolbar buttons act as a submit.form button.

IE8 in compatibility view does not have the problem.

Is there an update to cover this issue?

Thanks.

Hello Simon,

Are you referring the AHE toolbar buttons - align, bold, italic, etc.?

Hi Simon,

I'm not experiencing the issue you describe. Could you please post the source code for the page?

Kind regards, Patrick

Hi

I've rebuilt the page and now the textarea editor menu buttons don't autosubmit the form

But I've another problem that's now surfaced... Hope you can help.

I'm using mod rewrite. Var BaseURL has been left as '../' (changing it causes problms with button images).

The button pop ups now 404 because the url rewrite confuses them. I'm sure there must be work around. Please help!

e.g.

page is
www.domain.com/level1/level2/level3
with <base href="www.domain.com/level1/" />

and for example the insert image button now pops up

www.domain.com/level1/level2/level3/AdvHTML_Popups/insert_image.html?objname;your_comment:BaseURL;../

which is of course a 404 page.

Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon,

Seems to me that the easies solution is to switch off the mod rewrite for the page the editor is on....

usually rewrite is done on the display pages - not on the admin/editor pages.

I will also see if we can improve this in the next version.

Greetings,
George
