I have tried to add the server behaviour but get:

Error in the server behavior Pure PHP Upload.htm: the search string was not found or it was incorrectly formed

Make sure there is a comment at the top of the file in the format <!-- search:"string to find" -->

Example: <!-- search:"rs.Request(\"r" -->

End of error.

Seen this same problem on a very old post but saw no real solution. I am using DWCS4 on a Mac. Running Apache with MAMP.

Any clues?

Hi Mike,

When you say "I have tried to add the server behaviour ", do you mean you tried to insert the Pure PHP Upload 2 extension? Is that the moment that the error appears? If so, please post your problem in the Support Forum of the Pure PHP Upload extension: www.dmxzone.com/forum/default.asp?NewsId=4509. Are you using the latest version of the extension?

Kind regards, Patrick

I too am having this issue. Just downloaded the lated version of PHP upload 2.1.9:

The search string was not found or it was incorrectly formed:

<!-- search:"string to find" -->

Example: <!-- search:"rs.Request(\"r" -->

Tried removing my file upload field and adding it again, still no go...

I just posted a fix to another post too, I'll do it here as well I updated to the latest PHP Upload and removed my preferences for Dreamweaver in my User/Library folder and that seemed to fix it! Thanks!
