Disabling a link until sponsors banner is clicked

I'd like to disable a link on my page until my sponsors banner is clicked. So for example there would be a message on the page like: "Please click on my sponsors banner before viewing the file". Then, after my sponsors banner is clicked the link is enabled and the file can be viewed.
Not sure how to go about it though.
