I was writing a very extensive response to the tutorial on readable code. When I got about 90% done, I wanted to add one more example.

First I found that I could not cut and paste previous code out of entry window. Not very nice to disable right click option to do this !!

Then when I found I had to go back to page one of two page tutorial to get what I needed a copy of. So I hit BAC on my bnrowser. When I looked up all of my comments (in fact entire data entry window) had been deleted from system along with my 90% complete comments which took me 20 minutes to enter.

Imagine my frustration. I will not be writing those comments again.

BTW, this window I am using right now is unreqadbale. All I see is black background with no field descriptions. Another 10 lashes !!

At a time, I had the same frustration as you, though it wasn't exactly the same case, but I understand it.

I was developping, a very long response to a thread about login behavior. In fact I thought I could use it as a start for a tutorial later. Then I wanted to copy some part of my text, and I typed Ctrl-W instead of Ctrl-C (azerty keyboard have the W close to the C) it had taken me 30 min to answer...But as you know Ctrl-W close IE window...Raaaagh, rage and frustration..<img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I think that when you hit back on your browser, it forgets everything you entered previewsly.

BTW I experienced too the black screen.

I do this all the time. The trick is to then use the FORWARD button to go back to what you were entering. If you click the link again you get a fresh window.

But I have never seen a popup window close in response to the back button in a different (parent) window. Someone worked hard to make this happen.
