Clearing Dreamweaver's cache

several times
June 19, 2010 by amb meade

i have tried this several times and still can't get this to work no matter how many times I've uninstalled, re-downloaded etc.  Very frustrating.

This does not work. Clearing the .dat only work 25% of the time.

I was getting error messages every time I tried to save of the type: "While executing onLoad in _beforeSave.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occured: In file "_beforeSave": beforeSave is not defined" Clearing the Dreamweaver cache solved the issue. I'm using Dreamweaver 19.0.1 In Windows 10 you'll find the cache file at: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2019\en_US\Configuration\WinFileCache-[randomString].dat Once you've cleared the cache Dreamweaver will re-build it which may take some time.
TRY EASIEST METHOD

hi, i also faced the same problem right before my presentation day. I tried everything I could from the google but it turns out that the problem is the way I manage my file location. You may want to put your css files or js files in any special folder but DW might be unable to access them although you are trying to open a php file, related to the css/js. I tried to move everything into the main folder and voila it works like charm. I hope this would help you guys.

It worked on Adobe DW CC 2015 - 7698 Build. Thank you so much! :)
