Close Browser Window

Your script works great...I put a image in instead of text and it does what I was hoping but how can I get rid of the pop-up that asks if the person wants to close the window?

Hi Joe.

Thanks for the positive feedback on my extension. Unfortunatley it's impossible to get rid of this popup as it is a browser security feature that stops malicious code from closing windows without the users permission.

If you have created a javascript window and you then apply the close window object to this you will not get the warning, becuase you created the window, and so you have permission to close it. :)

Using DWMX and can't locate the Objects, Goodies panel referred to in the instructions so I can't find the behavior.

cant locate plugin

macromedia extension found the plugin correctly and installed it, but i can't find it when i open dreamweaver. it says its under goodies in the object pallette but i can't find it anywhere. please tell me where it is. thanks

You'll find it under Insert >> Close Window (at the bottom of the menu)

advanced layer popup not closing

this doesn't close the advanced layer popup

it just sits there.

when I call the page directly it closes

any views?
