This seems to be what I have been looking for. A colleague has used something put out by, I think "WebAssist" but it was a nightmare to use. Very difficult to configure, and even more to control.
As James mentioned below, I would be great if it reads queries already built, and those in turn drive the graph. I am not that interested (for this current project, but my head is reacing with Ideas...<img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> ) to ave my users interact with the graph, but I need a way to display graphically the stored data.
Is there a demo that I can drive available?
Thanks!

Hi All,
This version of the DMXzone Google Charts is targeted at full visual drawing your charts in Dreamweaver.
So all the power goes currently to the quick and easy, fully visual, making of charts by dragging and clicking.
Specially for that we have empowered all new technology to turn Dreamweaver in more less a 2D drawing program
Which is really cool and really a new major step in extension development in Dreamweaver.
We do not have a data sources (ie recordsets) connection yet as this is another area of the charting.
If there is enough requests we will consider it in future versions or maybe a separate PRO version.
The online demos we have are the charts shown on the product page - as the extension is delivered fully in source code - there is no way to make a limited demo version of it. See the manual (www.dmxzone.com/go?14929) for full info about the usage to get a good idea of what is all possible
Greetings,
George

Data driven charts are absolutely required for this product
I would pay for this today - thes data interface is whats missing from the google app - eg encoding is difficult and time consuming

No database support? WOW. Major omission.
I came to the site ready to buy this plugin, but without the ability to use dynamic data, this plugin just wouldn't meet my needs at all.
It looks like a great start though. I'll definitely keep my eye on future versions.

Ok ok <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> - I got your message!
well it seems that you can easily make the DMXzone Google Charts dynamically!
Just define a recordset and change a parameter from the chart to get the data from the recordset.
We will post a tutorial about this shortly so you can see how easy it is to do in just few steps.
Greetings,
George

I paid the $50 to get the extension from a competitor for database driven charts which uses a flash object. It works on some sites and doesn't on others. Google Apps have NO problems that I have found. When you make this extension include database/chaging with database values dynamically, I will jump on board. Until then, it is no better than making a chart in Minitab or Excel and grabbing the image with Snaggit or some screen capture program.
I am looking forward to your making this extension worth my money. I am 33 years old and am paying nearly 700% inflation in gas prices since I started driving. If you make the extension dynamic, I will cut back my driving to get it. haha <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

How do you change the parameter for the chart? I have created a Recordset and tested it out and it is grabbing my information. However I do not see the option to change the parameter, like the Advanced HTML Editor has.
How can I set the parameters?

Hi.
I have read the link on where to make this chart dynamic and it seems to be a straight forward case. The only thing for me to check out before I buy this extension is:
Is there any limitations in the case of filtering the recordset and produce the chart with three filter dependancies? The case is like this: I have a recordset and I want to place values from this recordset into the chart dynamicaly depending on a choice taken on page before.
I am passing three values from this page and they filter the result so that the chart shows what I want.
I have tried this from the chart extension from webassist, but I only get to pass one value to the filters, so my recordset is only filtered with one of the filters and this makes my chart useless.
Is this possible with google charts?
Christoffer

Hello Christoffer,
You can apply more than one filter in each record set through "Advanced" button in record set UI. However you must be fluent in writing SQL query statements. Here is a link to a quick SQL reference for SQL WHERE Clause.
You can have as many as you like clauses after WERE statement. And once you have your RS filtered you can bind it to Google Charts to display the result.

Hi looks exactly what I need, the ability to show data in pie or graph charts instead of tables, with the data coming from MySql tables.
I assume I can use this using only Dreamweaver/html and php?
Many thanks
