Hello,

Unfortunately, as the name says: HTML5 Video Player, this is a Video player. If you need to play audio files you can use the following extension: www.dmxzone.com/go?18136

Hey, before I bought it, I read the manual. And the header says exactly this: HTML5 MP3 Player Manual. So, how come it does not cover wht it promises?

HTML5 Video Player. I did not know about HTML5 MP3 Player. If you take the burden to open the manual for HTML5 Video Player you will see what I just posted:

Hello Reinhard,

Unfortunately there is a mistake the content managers made - we are sorry about that.

Anyway - nowhere in the manual OR in the features description it is said that the HTML5 Video Player supports audio files.

yes, it seems so. Still, you cannot expect that you read the whole manual to look for these details before you buy. If you don't have the extension installed - how should you find out its detailled functionality? If the HEAD OF THE MANUAL reads HTML5 MP3 Player, honestly, would you expect that it does not support it?
In my case I did not even need the video module because I had already found a different solution for this. I had assumed that this module would support both: video AND Audio.
All I need is to play .mp3 or .ogg files.

Hello Reinhard,

In order to review all the features packed in any DMXzone extensions, without reading the extensions' manuals, we have a tab on each product page called Features in Details. Additionally we have a tab called Videos, where we gathered all tutorials from the extensions' manuals in video format. Basically all info in the manual is spread accross the product page, separated in different tabs.

Hi, Lubov,
thank you for taking the time to point me towards the Features in Details tab. Webdesigners are in a hurry sometimes and I already wrote what lead to my conclusion: It was the headline on each single page of the manual which states: HTML5 MP3 Player.
DMX extensions belong to the best on the web, so no hard feelings.
As a wish: I'd really like to have ONE multimedia Extension "to rule them all" like the vlc player. You don't have to worry which decoders / formats are needed to play them all, no matter what OS you use. If time was no criteria, I would check jquery and build all that stuff by myself. So, I am happy to have DMX and others making a good job for us.
