Adobe Touts Tools for Flash-to-HTML Conversion

Many developers are ready to dump Flash in favor of Web standards - and for those who aren't ready, Adobe Systems is throwing its weight behind a new project called CreateJS to ease the transition. CreateJS is a collection of libraries - prewritten code, essentially - that lets people program with Web standards such as HTML5 and JavaScript the way they're accustomed to with Flash. And along with the libraries there's the Toolkit for CreateJS, an extension for Adobe's Flash Pro developer tools that lets programmers work with Flash Pro and then export an HTML/JavaScript version of the creation.

Photoshop CS6 Beta Now Available

Adobe announced Photoshop CS6 beta, a preview of what’s to come in the next release of the industry standard in digital imaging, is available as a free download from Adobe Labs. Customers can download the beta, try out the experience and provide feedback to the product team. Adobe Launches LeanPrint to Cut Printing Costs and Improve Productivity

Adobe launched its new software Adobe LeanPrint, which is a technology that solves printing pain points in the enterprise and home by automatically optimizing document layouts and managing toner output to reduce resource consumption and costs by an average of 40 percent for typical office documents. The Adobe’s first partner to distribute the LeanPrint technology will be Toshiba America Business Solutions.

Adobe Announces Integrated Video Publishing, Advertising and Analytics Platform

Adobe presented the industry’s first fully integrated video technology platform, called Project Primetime, that enables smooth, TV-like experiences for ad-supported videos across Web-connected devices and delivers premium content videos and adds across all major operating systems, including Apple iOS, Google Android, desktop OS and connected TVs.

Adobe Photoshop Touch for iPad 2

Today Adobe announced that Photoshop Touch is now available for iPad 2, via the iTunes App Store. Adobe Photoshop Touch offers core Photoshop features, as well as new capabilities for creating and sharing in an app custom-built for tablets. The app is a central component of Adobe Touch Apps, a family of six intuitive touch screen applications, inspired by Adobe Creative Suite software. iPad versions of the other Adobe Touch Apps are expected later this year.

Adobe Roadmap for the Flash Runtimes

Adobe announced its plans for the Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR development in the next one to two years. According to the company Flash is still better for the gaming and premium video markets, and with some architectural and language changes to the runtimes they will become well placed to enable the richest experiences on the web for another decade. At the same time Adobe AIR will focus on incorporating features from the core Flash Player runtime. Also in the future Adobe AIR and Flash Player browser plug-in releases will be increasingly synchronized and released simultaneously.

Photoshop CS6 Puts Photo Manipulation on Steroids

In a new sneak preview of the Photoshop CS6 Adobe showed a content-aware move tool that enables users to easily move complicated objects around an image without having to fill the pixels in the original place of the object. The new technology automatically fills in the hole left when a portion of the image was excised and will be further improved in the upcoming version of the software.
