Problem with Movie Part 1

July 26, 2005 by Gareth Davies
Everytime I view part 1 movie tutorial it hangs about two thirds through (about where you are going to preview the album you've created). It just goes to egg timer and stays there. Am managing to watch the other 2 movies no problem, and am on a 2MB broadband connection so assume there's a bug in the part 1 movie. Meanwhile, the product looks so good I've bought it anyway!

RE: Problem with Movie Part 1

Hi Gareth,

I've contacted the author, and she says only the ok button after the resize of the images is missing, after testing that is what happens to me to, so the tutorial of the first part should be 99% complete (1% off for the missing ok button). Can you confirm that?

Movie 1 problems

It gets to 2m 07s just when she says "When it's done you'll see the window telling you so. Click O" then it hangs. I assume she's about to say OK. Problem is, whreas the other two movies come to a definite stop, this one not only cuts off there, but it leaves the egg timer on the screen so you are left waiting for something to happen and that the movie will eventually pick up again.

Can you set up the XML file to pull from a database

August 18, 2005 by Phill Izenson
I am wondering if you can set up the XML file to pull from a Dreamweaver recordset so that you could make this dynamic?  This would give users the ability to add to the album by creating an upload page that would upload the photo to the directory for the album and put the file names in a dabase table.  The nice thing about this would be that a developer could set this up for someone who would not then have to manually update the XML file.
