We are trying to send a template based mailshot to about 400 people. Last Thursday it worked fine. On friday it failed with the following message.....

The operation timed out

We are running a Windows 2003 Standard server box. Access can be provided if this will help diagnose the problem.

We have tracked how many iterations the smart mailer gets through and it wildy varies.

We have the same problem on another template based multiple mail send.

We can send to 5 members no problem but as soon as we go over that number the smart mailer fails - again have tracked how many iterations the smart mailer gets through and it wildy varies.

Please can someone have a look at this for us as a matter of urgency.

I have the same problem with no solution yet...

Have you got a "global.asa" in your site root, maybe with an Application that counts online users?
