An epileptic user (who didn't want to be identified) wrote to say that she found occasionally Dreamweaver MX 2004 (on Win XP) flickers uncontrollably. She is concerned about using it, for obvious reasons.

Yes I have this problem too. It really makes it hard to deal with. I hope they come out with a update soon.

Try turning your hardware acceleration down a notch. This is one of the known issues being looked into:

I notice that this problem particularly happens if DW doesn't have any open files and has to redraw itself. It tends to redraw the main window and each panel about 7 times. This is especially true if some of the panels are undocked and free floating. Quite annoying!

I have this issue as well. Very annoying right out of the box issue.
