I downloaded 153, clicked on manage extensions, asked if I wanted to overwrite existing files, responded yes. The extension manager says 1.5.3 is loaded, but when I try to run it in dreamweaver it says the versin is stil 1.5.1. have "removed" the extension and same results. powered down several times...no effect. searched registry for key....nothing.

How do I get 1.5.3 to work.

Also, when i tried the install, it removed the icon normally displayed for active slideshow pro in the "common" menu bar.

I had same problem. Read somewhere to instal latest extension manager which I did, and it says it now has 1.5.3 installed, but icon is still not visible and extension does not appear any different to last version, so not sure whats happening.

You can recognize Active Slideshow Pro 1.5.3 by the different icon in About tab.
Also, it has new button into DMXzone panel.

Currently the only difference with the older versions is that the sound starts when the Slideshow has finished loading.

this forum is pretty confusing....i click post and it just copies the content

so overwriting a previouis rep

i don't have a dmx panel in dreamweaver, never have, never advised how to create.

still, very confusing with 1.5.1 still in the about us panel....and since I don't have the convenient icon, will just
go backto 1.5.1. less confusing. also will wait till more significant update is offered.

note, this screen is overshooting the layout....with right panel overshadowing response field. propably due
to the screen captures.

It pays to read instructions, I had slideshow installed on mx as well as 8, and didnt read to remove from both before installing new. I have found new icon in dmxzone tab (also didnt read this bit), albeit I have 2 icons the same, but better than none, probably caused by multiple attempts to instal.

So at the moment, is the only way to synchronise sound with motion (like in the demo), by adjusting slide motion to match the mp3, and to uncheck streaming.

Love this extension and have used many times on my sites.
