{Dreamweaver CS5 on OSx 10.6.7, Safari 5.05 and HTML5 Slideshow}

I am wondering if anyone knows of the right settings to use to make the transitions between photos as smooth as possible.
Here are the settings I am using right now, after trying many different combinations:

transition:{duration:3000, easing:"linear"}

This is not an autoplay show, so there is no timing between slides.
When I play the show and advance to the next slide, you can almost see each 'step' of the transition. As an example, the slideshow transitions in iPhoto or Aperture would be an example of what I am looking for.
