New Flash player and update on handling active content
Adobe has released a new Flash Player and a workaround for interactive Flash movies that are affected because of the most recent Eolas patch that Microsoft was forced to implement in the latest version of Internet Explorer.
New Flash Player
The update contains fixes for critical vulnerabilities identified in Security Bulletin APSB06-03: Flash Player Update to Address Security Vulnerabilities. The update replaces the Debug and Release versions of Flash Player 8 browser plugins, standalone players, and Test Movie players. All users should apply this update.
You can get the Update at http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/downloads.html
Flash Active Content Workaround
Due to updates Microsoft has made in the Internet Explorer browser, changes may need to be made to websites that use embedded ("active") content such as that viewed in Adobe's Macromedia Flash Player, Authorware Player, Shockwave Player and Adobe Reader, as well as Sun Java, Apple QuickTime, and RealNetworks RealPlayer. Adobe is actively working with its developer community to provide the information it needs to easily update websites to respond to these changes. Developers can find more information about how to respond to Microsoft's changes in Internet Explorer on at this Technote.
