iOS 4.3 Beta 3 Available To Developers
The third beta is close to stable release
Apple has just released iOS 4.3 Beta 3 to developers. This is the third Beta of the upcoming version of iOS in as many weeks, and it's called 8F5166b. It's available, as you can see from the picture above, for iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 3rd and 4th generation. A separate package is also available for the 2nd generation Apple TV.
What is Possible?
According to AppAdvice, the iOS 4.3 betas allow canceling app downloads and deleting apps while they're still downloading. This is not possible in iOS 4.2.1, and will be a welcome feature the next time you change your mind about installing an app mid-install.
As for new features specific to the third beta of iOS 4.3, there's no word yet, however it's safe to assume that many bugs have been squashed since Beta 2.
"The Daily"
What also remains to be seen is whether the availability of this beta today has anything to do with the fact that tomorrow Apple and News Corporation are set to finally unveil the iPad-only electronic newspaper called The Daily.
What's clear is that a final release for iOS 4.3 is getting closer and closer, and it will probably appear very soon.
