"fill-in-the-blank" interaction in coursesbuilder.

I have 2 questions.

1. How can I get Access DB to read more than one word from a CB-LS "fill-in-the-blank" in the userResponse column on the "Results" page for the user and the admin? So far CB-LS (w/Access DB) only reads one word answers? I tried using 'wildcards' as in the astrick (*) then the answer is wrong on the activity page. I even tried code for the space between words (&nbsp) and nothing. There must be a way to change this in the scripts?

Note; this is about using 'single line text' in Coursesbuilder, all the questions are multi-word single-line.

2. How can Access (in LS-CB) read special characters? The site I am building is an e-learning CB-LS to teach English and most of the questions are "fill-in-the-blank" text questions. The DB in LS-CB (Access) does not recongize special characters such as the single quote apostrophe (') as in contracted words; he's, she's etc. the DB will not read the user response answer so it doesn't enter in the DB and/or "Results" page?
