If I want to insert a link to a document in any browser BUT IE, I can highlight existing text, go to the file manager, locate the document and then click the link button. The highlighted text becomes a link to the document. However, in IE 9&10, (not sure about other versions), If I highlight the text and click the Link button for a selected document, nothing happens. The insert only works if nothing is selected. Then it will insert a link using the file name as the text

Cleared the cache, and it still does not work. I used developer tools and IE 8 and IE 9 are not working (in compatibility mode). In addition, I have tried this on three computers...all exhibit the same issue.

Hello Chuck,
As it is described on the Features In Details page:
So in the current version of the file manager addon we do support only an existing link change.
That's why there is a "Select using File Manager" button as on this screenshot. Using it you can link to any file in any browser.
