When I upload an image file who's name contains the letter "w" -- the letter "w" gets removed from the file name which then breaks the link to the file!!!!!

Hello Joe,

find in ScriptLibrary folder the file named incPureUpload.php. Open it in code view and search it for :"remove control characters"
The code you will find should be like :

        // remove control characters
        $newname = preg_replace('%[\0-\31\127]%i', '', $newname);

Change it to:

       // remove control characters
        $newname = preg_replace('%[\x00-\x1F\x7F]%i', '', $newname);

Save, upload and test.
