On Max OSX 10.4 (Tiger) - problems

I have tried the remapping of the Fireworks 8 as primary. However I am still getting the 'need Fireworks 3' issue? Please advise. Bought 2 new extensions today - can't use either of them? Thanks

I, too, am having the same problem. I remapped. Got it to work once. Then when I deleted the flash file to rebuild it, I could not get it to work a second time. Went through the remapping again 3 times. Still getting that "Must have Fireworks 3..." error message. Help!

Yes, same problem here. The DW preferences were set for Fireworks 8 already, but still did the browse and relinked to the Fireworks 8 app. Still has the Fireworks 3 error message. Any updates on this issue?

Tried your preferences fix. Tried it several times. in one site it eventually worked. Even though I am doing the same steps, sometimes it works; sometiimes not. I noticed that when I restart and check my prefs that it shows the FW8.app but it is greyed out. When I repeat the process, sometimes it will eventually work. Any further updates? I love the extension, but this bug is miserable and time consuming.

Missing Fireworks error continued

I was pretty certain that your answer would solve my problem -- as I have the same error listed in the question. However, I have updated the DW Preferences as per the Answer -- and the error persists. Do you have any other suggestions. I have both Dreamweaver 8 and Fireworks 8 installed, and I have Fireworks 8 listed as the primary (in fact, only) application mapped to .png, .gif, .jpg. I need to get this gallery up urgently and after excellent results with the Active Slideshow product I was not anticipating any problems installing the Dynamic Flash Gallery product.

I followed the directions for this fix to no avail. It would be nice to have an update that solves the problem.

Flash Album still asking for Fireworks 3

My software had already upgraded itself to Fireworks 8 as primary. Restarted several times. Still doesn't work. Neither does Active Slideshow. Same problem. Do these extensions actually work with Studio 8?

George - still having same problem as everyone else here. Have tried all same steps suggested as well as double-checking file association prefences in My Computer all to no avail. Please advise!
