Several users on our team are having issues with the Google Sitemap Generator. Because we use file check/in and check/out, do locked files prevent this handy plugin from using autodiscover? It works if we do a page at a time (agony!) but not with autodiscover.

You can see the error msg at www.techtriad.com/error.jpg

Thanks for your help.

Hello Sue.

Can you please clear your DW cache file:
Clearing Dreamweaver's cache
and reinstall the extension.

Regards: Vulcho.

I tried it; deleted the cache file and reinstalled the just-downloaded extension. Got one warning that said: "Menu items could not be inserted in the exact location requested by the extension. They will appear in the "Commands' Miscellanous" menu. The extension will still work so it is being installed."

(closed DW, removed cache, opened Extension Mgr & installed extension)

Reopened DW. Noticed that DW toolbar has THREE copies of Google sitemap generator. used the Commands/Miscellanous version and got the same error: access to "folder" was denied. Clicked OK.

Got same error as in .jpg above. Then is just hangs while "analyzing files."

It still works by hand (a pain) but I still wonder whether the locked files matter. We use check-in/check-out on every site.

I still get this same error. If anyone has any suggestions to fix it that would be great. I am not sure it is connected to the check in/check out as I can run the extension on some of my sites with where we use the check in/check out. Before the java error above I get an error that access is denied to one of my folders.

It's a few years since I posted this question and we're still having the same issue. I wanted to add that this happens on all sites and we have historically used Contribute as our user CMS. I wondered if the .LCK files that Contribute generates might be impacting the extension.
