Ensure that the extension is compatible with your version of Adobe CC. Some extensions may not work with newer or older versions.

If your extension won’t load in DWCC (Dreamweaver Creative Cloud), here are a few possible causes and solutions to help you troubleshoot:
✅ 1. Check Extension Compatibility
Make sure the extension is compatible with your version of Dreamweaver CC.
Some older extensions may not work with newer Dreamweaver releases.
✅ 2. Use Adobe Extension Manager (Legacy Versions)
If you're using Dreamweaver CC 2015 or earlier, try installing the extension via Adobe Extension Manager.
For newer versions (CC 2017+), Adobe has discontinued Extension Manager.
✅ 3. Use Anastasiy’s Extension Manager or ZXP Installer
Download and use a third-party tool like:
Anastasiy’s Extension Manager
ZXP Installer
These tools often succeed where Adobe’s tools fail.
✅ 4. Enable Extension Support in Dreamweaver
Go to Edit > Preferences > Extensions and make sure the extension support is enabled.
✅ 5. Clear Cache / Reinstall Extension
Remove the extension completely.
Clear any cached files under:
php-template
Copy
Edit
C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver <version>\
Reinstall the extension using a compatible method.
✅ 6. Check for Admin Permissions
Make sure Dreamweaver is running with admin rights.
Right-click the Dreamweaver icon > Run as administrator.
