Hi Guys,

I have a problem I've experienced a few times, and I can't do a workaround this time.

If when an image is cropped, the image is smaller in a dimension than the crop settings, it fills in the space with black. So if the image is 300*200 and I'm cropping to 250*250, if the crop is set to center, I'll get 25 pixels of black at the top and bottom.

I usually work round this by ensuring I have slack to allow for a landscape or portrait image before I crop.

The current job I'm working on has some very varied image sizes though - so I can't do this, or some images will look silly.

I don't mind SIP making the dimensions larger to match my crop settings, but I need to know how I can make the background colour for the enlarged area white rather than black?

Thanks for your help,

Dan

Hello Daniel,

Please first check if you are using the latest version of SIP ASP2 and if the dll file located in the bin folder in the root of the site is also updated to the latest version.
The bin must be in the root of the application folder on the server. After that set the Matte option to #FFFFFF in the SIP options dialog.

Doh! As simple as that!

I've updated the DLL and the whole site started to work... thank you very much for the help Teodor. Great work as always DMXZone!
