When I try to use the ajax autocomplete, it says that it has copied files to my ScriptLibrary folder, but it doesn't, and if I have no ScriptLibrary folder created, it does not create one. I use a bunch of your extensions and don't have this issue with any other one. All the others have no problem creating files in my ScriptLibrary folders. Could you please email me a zipped folder with the missing extension files so that I can get it to work? Here is what it says it is creating, which is doesn't: ScriptLibrary/jquery-latest.pack.js, ScriptLibrary/jquery.autocomplete.js, ScriptLibrary/jquery.bgiframe.min.js, ScriptLibrary/autocomplete.css

I am using the latest version.

Thank you!

Hello Heather Goff,

Please, provide some additional info for your OS, DW, is that the only extension that you use in that particular site, have you checked your permissions for the root folder, have you tested the page, have you reloaded the file view?

I am using Dreamweaver CS3. I am on a Mac. 10.5.5
I use a lot of other extensions on the site including html editor, php upload and image resize.
My permissions are set correctly. The other extensions have no trouble creating their necessary files. I have tested the page. I have reloaded the file view. Thank you!

Hi Heather Goff,

Have you tested creating a page containing only AJAX auto-Complete? If the result is same, try defining a new site and creating a test page there.

Hi M,
I already tried both those things, and the supporting files are still not generating for me.

Hi Heather Goff,

take a look in the directory containing your local site's root folder for folder ScriptLibrary.

That is where I look, and that is where they are not.
They are not being generated and placed in the ScriptLibrary folder.

Hi Goff,

If you have the following tree of folders:

MacOSX:Userevelop:SiteRoot:ScripLibrary
Look in Develop for ScripLibrary folder i.e. :

MacOSX:Userevelop:ScriptLibrary

Hi M.Zografski
I am looking in the ScriptLibrary in the root of my development site, on my computer. This is where all the other DMXZone extension files reside. I see the following extensions in it: AdvHTMLEdit.css, AdvHTMLEdit.js, AdvHTMLLang.js, advLayerPopup.js,dmxMP3Player.js,expressinstall.swf, incFileGenie.php, incPureUpload.js, incPureUpload.js, incPureUpload.php, incResize.php, single.swf

However, the ajax autocomplete files are not there even though I received the pop up notice saying that they had been created.

I have tested this on multiple sites. I have tested it on sites that don't have any other dmxzone extensions as well. The files needed for the extension are not generated and placed in the ScriptLibrary folder in the root of the sites.

That is why, I was wondering, if you could just send me those files. I will put them in my ScriptLibrary folder, and then maybe the extension will work for me.

Hi M.Zografski
You were right - I just looked up a level, outside of my development site, and a ScriptLibrary folder had been created with the missing files. I will move those into the site root and see if it works.

Thank you for your help!

3 years later and I am having this same problem. Although, in my case the ScriptLibrary has not been created anywhere on my machine.

Also on Mac 10.6.7 running DW CS5.

And before you ask (if you do) I did all the things Heather did.

So mind sending me the files?

Thanks
