I need to be able to also select a value field(ID) as well as a display field.

So it will display (South Africa) but search for the ID???

As I might have 4 or 5 South Africa's coming up on my search.. but then i need to pass the correct ID so that when i do my search i get the correct result....

has anyone come up with a solution????

the answer is "no" - you cannot show one value and then pass another with the Ajax Autocomplete like you can do that in a Select field.

This ability needs to be added in order to justify the $49 price otherwise the product should only sell for $25 I feel. Although it does the function in terms of the display and selection as developers the assumption is for this type of thing that it had this ability built-in which it does not at this time.

A simple code instruction for the JS would go along way to help in this more than obvious functionality being asked for over the last 3 years.

Buyers beware - although Auto Complete is a nice function until it can handle inserting a second field value into a hidden field such as a records ID # do not buy it if you assume you can with Auto Complete because you can not
