I have a shopping cart site that I have built that we are looking for a better way to do searches.

I saw you auto complete extension and thought it might work but I have a question concerning how it starts

The site is dev.valuetronics.com/index.cfm

Search – input 6000, result does not bring up Fireberd 6000A however if you type in Fire first it does.

Search – enter 4402….results do not produce Agilent E4402B however if you start with E4402 it does.


So would your Auto search be able to bring up fireberd in the results if all you started typing in was 6000.

I hope this makes sence.

Unfortunately the link you sent does not load anything but a blank page.

About your question - yes the Ajax Autcomplete extension is searching in the whole word/text, not just the beginning.
