I am considering using Feed Ticker to promote www.video-vermont.com. After looking at my site, can you tell me how I can implement such a thing? I do not want to use it to link outside my group of sites. The quality of the gif thumbails on this site are not very good. The quality of the video is good. I used FFMPEG to produced thumbnails but it is not very good quality.

hi Timothy,

Well, you can have FeedTicker populated only from your rss feed.
In order to do so you only add you rss feeder URL inside the Ticker and that's it.

okay and what would it display from my feed? If I hooked it up now, based on what I have, what would it look like? I ask this because I don't trust the app I am using now and have had a string of unpleasant surprises!

Hi Timothy,

Do you think that this is RSS Feeder, one that sends news?
And if not dot you have a problems with your feeder, because I can't get it in Feed Ticker nor in Google Desktop Feeder?
If you can paste the exact url of your feeder it may help me to test it with the Ticker.

Regards.

Hi:
Yes, you can.I need all the traffic I can get! <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>....I am having a strange trouble with the app in that it doesn't work if I put it in two places on a site with one of the places buried deep in a sub, sub directory.

Also, Google doesn't seem to want to list the feed, even after a month!

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the quick response.
If i understand you correctly you place one feeder on a page in your root folder and one on a page in a sub-sub-sub-sub folder. Then you have to place all supporting folders and files as if that dir was the root of the site. Well, correct me if I'm wrong. About Google listings .. can't say nothing...

Hello:
I am rebuilding my video site and can't get the feed ticker to recognize my new RSS feed. Do I have to wait until Google discovers it? Or does it work on its own somehow? If so, how to I force Feed Ticker to recognize it.

New RSS Feed is here:
feed://www.video-vermont.com/video/?feed=rss2

old one is here, still active:
feed://www.video-vermont.com/absolutevc/rss.aspx
