Win 7, x64 all up to date. This last week or so Adobe updated DW Cloud CS6 to 12.1. Since then things went wrong with DMX extensions. I have two machines, both had same problems. First DMX tab disappeared in DW, BUT all extensions present in Extension Manager (now at 6.0.3.48). Deactivated and reactivated extensions and got DMX tab back, but Fish Eye could not reactivated as colud not create a specific folder. Tried to uninstall and reinstall Fish Eye, but no luck. Other buggy feelings so uninstalled all and reinstalled just the DMX extensions on a need to have basis. The updater 1.5.1 is installed but there is no data in any of the tabs. It is as if it thinks there are no DMX extensions installed, and it doesn't get news feed about latest updates and new products. Also tried to fix things another way. When all extensions uninstalled, went through Appdata/Roaming and deleted all temp files, renamed dmx files and folders to "old" to try to make sure reinstalling dmx extenions was as clean as possible. Back to the missing DMX tab, saw some of the extensions were still listed in drop down menus, but not all. Probelm not limited to DMX as Wrensoft extensions had same fate after update to CS6 Cloud 12.1. They also dispappeared but were present in Extension Manager.

Hi All,

to help us solve those new dw 12.1 problems please check the following:

1. Find your Dreamweaver Configuration folder:

For Dreamweaver CS6:
Vista & 7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\<language>\Configuration
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\<language>Configuration\
MAC: MacHD : Users : <username> : Library : Application Support : Adobe : Dreamweaver CS6 : <language> : Configuration :

It might be a hidden folder so you need to show hidden files first if you don't see it.

2. Look in Configuration/Commands and see if you have files like *_install.htm from the DMXzone extensions you installed.

3. Find the Extension Manager Store folder
Vista & 7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store
MAC: MacHD : Users : <username> : Library : Application Support : Adobe : Extension Manager CS6 : EM Store

4. See if it exists on this location and if not maybe somewhere else in the Adobe folder structure. Let us know if it is somewhere else or does not exists.

5. Under the EM Store - see if there is a sub folder Dreamweaver CS6 and that there are a lot of MXI files for all the DMXzone extensions you install.

6. Locate the MXI Flag folder which should be on the same level as EM Store folder. Let us know if it is somewhere else.

7. See if it also has a Dreamweaver CS6 subfolder and that the MXI files are there.

So please report your exact settings of the steps above.
This will help us track the problem exactly!

Thanks a lot!

As earlier explained I cleaned out Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS6 and started to reinstall your extensions on need to have basis.
I have most of extensions, so I can install them and report back file locations if needed.
Extension Manager CS6 6.0.3.48 reports following currently installed:
CSS Image Gallery
DMXzone Lightbox
DMXzone Upadter
Google Sitemap Generator

In answer to you instructions to help solve problems (Win 7 x64 fully up to date, Dreamweaver Cloud CS6 12.1 build 5949):

1 & 2 = Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\commands\dmx*.htm + dmx*.js files; dmxbehaviors.htm; 8 for CSS Image Gall; 2 for dmx Sitemap; 9 for Lightbox; dmxProxyLogin.htm; dmxresizer.thm; dmxUpate 3 files; dmxUpdChk_onOpen; DMXzone Upadter 4 files; dmxZoneLogin; GoogleSitemap; Porgressindicator; sendZonesPassword

3, 4 & 5 = Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store\Dreamweaver CS6\12 files (dmx*.mxi + dmx*.mxp + dmx*.mxi_air), 3 each for CSS Image Gall; Lightbox; Upadater; Sitemap

6 & 7 = Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store\Dreamweaver CS6\4 files (dmx*.mxi) one each for CSS Image Gall; Lightbox; Upadater; Sitemap

If anything unclear I can also take screen shots and send these.

BTW I also previously had various DMX files in these directories (before I started to delete and reinstall your extensions):

-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\Behaviors\Actions\DMXzone
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\Floaters
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\Inspectors
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\JSExtensions
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\Objects\DMXzone
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\Shared\DMXzone
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\startup
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\temp
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\Translators

And the WinFileCache file/s here:
-Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\configuration\

FYI. I just installed OnLine Editor, Advanced HTML Editor. PHP upload and Advnaced Layer Popup. Opened existing site and page which uses Online Editor. Opened Online Editor to check config still ok (they were). From inside Online Editor I clicked Set Advanced HTML editor options to check all ok there. But on clicking button get following error message:

The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open script file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\Configuration\Objects\Forms\formInsert.js" (error 2).

Hi Ian,

Yes Adobe removed some stuff in 12.1 that and we have to update AHE3 to fix this.

As for the DMXzone Updater problem. When you reinstalled the extensions - did they appeared in the Updater?

George

No. Nothing appears in any of the DMXupadter tabs after reinstaling. You can se the config form the previous psots. Same situation with Updater on the two machines - I have one at home and one at office and all site files on portable external HD. My twp PCs are almost identical in every respect. BTW, for what it is worth, when I went over to Cloud CS6 I did it at same time as I installed new HD on both these machines, and did clean install of Win 7. So there was no old DW 5 or 5.5 configurations hanging around from before.

I thought I'd add my problem too as it's the same as Ian's. The difference with mine is that I'm running Windows 8 Pro x64. It is on a new hard drive (so no left overs from previous installs) and all worked well until the recent Adobe update.

The updater then doesn't see any of the installed DMX extensions and doesn't show the 'Not Installed' either (it doesn't request my login details for DMX Zone). I installed some extensions but not all worked correctly.

I have gotten around the problem at the moment by uninstalling Dreamweaver (after removing all extensions), rebooting, and then re-installing it, but not allowing it to update (so its version 12.0 build 5808). Everything else has been allowed to update including the Extension Manager which is now version 6.0.3.48.

The Updater is now working perfectly and so far the extensions I have tried all seem to be functioning correctly.

I don't know if this will help with your investigations but it appears to be the update to Dreamweaver that is causing the problem and not the update to the Extension Manager itself.

Hi Neil,

Thanks to Ian's help we figured what the problem with Adobe recent update is.

We will release very soon an update of DMXzone Updater to solve the problems. Just need to do some more testing first. So we hope to get it out next week.

Greetings,
George
