I've just installed a basic text tool tip with a yellow bevel style and uploaded to the server for testing. When I roll over the link the "Empty tool tip" message flashes then the tool tip appears in the top left of the page - not above the link as it should. Also the bottom of the pointer is cut off. The only change I have made in the script in the head of the page is to alter the following line of code:

window.stylesFolderName = 'Styles';

to

window.stylesFolderName = 'styles';

... just so I don't need to update all the other pages' style sheet links.

The link to the page is as follows:

www.initialpackaging.co.uk/newsite/security.php

I've only set up one link for now, but I will need to set up two more - it should be obvious when you have a look at the page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi, please ignore this thread as I've fixed the problem. It worked OK on my local machine after I changed the "S" of "Styles" to lowercase but didn't work when I uploaded it to the server.

I had to change rename my "styles" folder with a cap "S" and alter all my style sheet links on every page... but it's working fine.

Hi,

I am having the same problem with "Empty Tooltip" flashing up on mouseover in IE8 but not firefox. I have renamed the styles folder in line with what Bill has said had cured his problem but it still there.

Thanks
Chris

Hello Chris,

Can you pass a link to the page in question if it is available online?
