Doesn't work when AHE is on the same page.

Am using the most up to date versions of both this and the Advanced HTML editor. The page works as intended with an insert record behaviour plus the Advanced HTML editor, Pure Upload 3 and Smart Image processor. However when I add the form validator extension the toolbar for the advanced HTML editor is no longer visible. The insert record behaviour still work as it is meant to - but there is no validation checks either on field change or on form submit. I have tried the same thing without the smart Image processor or pure upload extensions (so just the AHE and UFV) but it has the same result.

I am not trying the validate the Advanced HTML editor field - I am only intereted in validating other fields on the page.

All extensions are up to date and being used in Dreamweaver CS5. Any help would be much appreciated.

I see that the last reply on this forum was over 7 months ago.. so is there likely to be anyone getting back to me about this or do I need to start looking for an alternative product or solution??

Hello Chris,

The Advanced HTML Editor 3 uses the latest jquery version 1.10.2, while the Universal Form Validator ASP is not yet updated with it, it is using an older jquery version.

Hi Treodor

Thanks for getting back to me. When will this be updated / fixed then so that they work together? It seems a pity that 2 extensions that are obviousy pretty linked and would be used together often especially in developing a CMS etc are not kept up to date & compatible at the same time as each other..?

Is there even any rough sort of idea so that I can decide what to do as far as my current project goes? Whether I can wait until it is done or whether I will have to try and find another product or a workaround or something?

still no sign of any progress on this??

It is very frustrating not being able to use an extension which I have paid for simply because it has not been updated to work in conjunction with other common DMXZone extensions....
I currently cannot even use it in a simple contact form on the same site due, presumably, to the older jQuery.

Hello All,
Until there is an update available for the Validator there is an easy workaround that will help you run it on sites using the newest jquery version.
Place the following line just after the jquery include:
<script type="text/javascript" src="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery-migrate/1.2.1/jquery-migrate.min.js"></script>

Use this code only on the pages that contain Universal Form Validator.

Hi Theodor

Thanks for coming back to me

I have just tried using this on a page with the HTML editor and the form validator.. however now the validation doesnt work (either on field change or form sumbit) and also the HTML editor doesnt display properly. It just displays as a large text area with no tool bars etc?

Here is a link to 1 of the pages in question. It is usually on a local server & there is also usually a restrict access applied to the page but have removed this for now. So have uploaded a temporary page here:
<link removed>

thanks very much

I don't see this link on your page, where i explained in previous posts:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery-migrate/1.2.1/jquery-migrate.min.js"></script>

Just tested the validator + AHE3 on the same page and it is working fine with the juqery-migrate include on the page.

Apologies - I had been testing it both with and without that line and also with and without the validator (to get the editor working again) but I forgot to put it back in again. But as you say it appears to be working there on the remote server. Still doesnt work on my local server but I can try to work that out or if not then can just test it on the remote server instead.

thanks very much!
