Can I use PHP form validator with pure PHP upload on the same form?

I am using a form with pure PHP upload 3 to upload multiple files and user filled fields. Can I use a validator such as the universal form validator PHP on the same form to check the entries in the user fields? Are their any conflicts when both are included on the same form?
