Did you tried to clear your DW cache yet ?
You can find how to do it in the following article :

I am having a problem with the behavior connector in the Ajax Event Calendar I just purchased as well. When I try to use it the system locks up and crashes Dreamweaver. I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 on Windows 7 x64. I have completely cleared the cache and wiped my configuration and reloaded but the problem persists. This is very disappointing.

I had the same problem after installing the latest version of the DMXCalendar. Removed that version and all is well.

OK, I have been able to determine that the Connector is conflicting with the Webassist Validation Toolkit behaviors. When I move that folder I can get the Behavior Connector to open. This is not a good conflict to have.

Denis,
I'm not sure that is the answer because as soon as you install an update to one of the Webassist Extension the order will no longer be the same. You would need to uninstall and reinstall all of the extension each time. I don't think this is the solution. Someone needs to determine the actual conflict. The vatious extensions should be able to work together.

Yes, its an WA problem, cause if you deinstall all WA extensions all works fine. Its the SA2.

Well I beg to differ with the both of you. I have the entire suite of WA extensions and they work fine with every other extension I have installed (over 50). I only have an issue with the Ajax Event Calendar when accessing the Behavior Connector. Denis says it's Security Assist but it cohabitates fine with the calendar. When I move the folder for the validation behaviors I eliminate the crash. This has nothing to do with Secutiy Assist. I would think as an Extention developer you would want to work with Webassist to determine why your extension doesn't play nice with theirs.

Hi Steve,

Can you send me the folder giving the issues in a zip file per mail? Also where it is located when it causes problems and what is the good location? And if placed in the good location does it still function?

mail me at

I will have a look. Hope we can find a good solution.

Greetings,
George

George,
I would love to email you the folder zipped, however I would violate my license agreement and the copyright as noted in the scripts"This file contains proprietary and confidential information from WebAssist.com
- corporation. Any unauthorized reuse, reproduction, or modification without
- the prior written consent of WebAssist.com is strictly prohibited.
-

I have found them very accomodating when I have contacted them. I don't mean to seem to bepushing this off on you, but as a consumer I'm kind of stuck in the middle. Icould try and contact them for permission, I thought it would be quicker to eliminate the middleman. I can tell you it is the Validation Toolkit folder located in Behaviors\Actions and when moved or removed the problem with the Ajax Calendar Behavior Connector goes away but I also can no longer access the validation behaviors. I hope this is helpful.

Sincerely,
Stephen

Firstly I apologise for joining this discussion at this late stage. I have been fiddling around for nearly one week trying to get the DMXZone widgets to work. The misery started with Calendar 2 when I realised that the extension manager stopped working and I had to find out how to that solve that problem I now have to try and catch up lost time, my customers are fuming.

Stephen is dead right. I also have the complete WA suite and have had no problems to date and questions/problems are resolved immediately.

The fact that the two streams of widgets do not co-operate with each other is not our problem and if the problem cannot be fixed in a professional manner and soon, then I will be forced to choose the stream that works best for me.

All I want is a functioning Ajax Event Calendar combined with a Calendar for the front page. I thought I would save time and purchase your bundle. I was wrong.

Hi
Validations toolkit from WA uses client side validation which is not much ise anyway and can be uninstalled. you should be using server-side that cannot be disabled by the end user.

Once you remove the toolkit behaviour connector will work without the problems.

This was discussed over at WA forums. Newer WA extensions do not cause this issue.

I worked through this one with one of WA team.

Hope that helps

Mike

Yes as above, Calendar widget just does not sit well with anything else.
I have mailed my .asp site in to Milo and DMX and he has not replied with any answer.
Shame most DMX extensions are good, calendar seems to be a bit iffy.
George if you see these messages, this is not doing your reputation so much good.

Steve
