Hello,

When i select a cell and use the buttons 'Add cell left' of 'Add cell right' the new cells apears below. When i preview the page the cells are OK.

I think this extension could be very useful but only when you can see what you are doing. Not only in preview.

I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 on a 64 bits Windows 7 system.

Hope you can help me out.

Maarten

Hi Maarten,

For new cells below - just use the "Add New Row" icon. It is on the same bar.

It will add a new row under the current cell that you can then populate with as many new cells as you wish.

George

Hi,

great extension and FREE too - superb! I'm having same probs, do you know if there is a way to trick Dreamweaver into showing cells added so they appear left or right in Design view (not underneath - like quirks mode etc) the page looks fine in browser preview but makes designing a little more awkward, appreciate its a Dreamweaver problem (hopefully preference that can be changed?) any tips much appreciated!

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

If you add new cells with the "Add Cell To Left/Right" they do appear next to each other. This is the default actually.

Maarten here had actually a question how to insert them not only left or right but below... that I answered above.

George

Hello George,

You didn't understand my question right, my question is the same as Kevin's. Dreamweaver is showing the cells below instead of left or right. In preview it's OK but not in Design view.

Maarten

Thanks Maarten! Found the problem!
Seems there was a small render bug in older DW versions.

Will fix it in the next update.

Hi Maarten

I think this happens, because the 960.css stylesheet does not appear in Dreamweaver's CSS panel, although it is referenced in the header. So the page renders correctly in the browser, but shows the grid cells underneath each other in DW'S design view.

Maybe that's some trick of George to avoid this file from being edited....
(There were other posts in the 960GS-forums, complaining about changing background-colors etc., and DMX always told people to create a dedicated "mystyles.css" file for such changes, which is a good idea to keep the original 960.css untouched.)

So, to get proper rendering in dreamweaver's design view you could just add 960.css as a design-time stylesheet.

Greetings

Willi
