Multiple containers or not?

I have a couple of quick questions regarding your 960grid extension.When I create a new grid, it creates 3 container_12 (or 16) - header, content and footer. I checked soem tutorials and they create only one container_12 and the header,content and footer are cells. is there a benefit of doing it either way?

You can have as many containers as you want. It is your decision how to build your website layout.
