This appears to actually save the edited html page back to the server?
Is is possible to use a database instead?
In other words, I have the editable region in the template pull content from a database table.
Is it possible to use this add on to edit that content, then have it save back to update that database table?
I dont mind having to write, or edit the php (is it php?) just wondering if its possible.
Thanks!

Hello Tom,

In order to do this you can use the Advanced HTML Editor 3 with standard Dreamweaver Insert and Update Record behaviors.

Yes, I could, however, I like the way this works, with the key combination and password, then the outlined divs and pencil icon []

I was hoping there was a plug and play way to use a database, but if not, I might be able to hack something together. It sure is a cool extension!

Hey AK Tom,
Did you get to get this working with a database? I am looking at using on a few client sites but they are all database driven so I would like the results of the edited HTML area stored in a database....

Here's hoping....

Mark,
No, sorry to say I didnt work on it much. I went back to using a standard database insert/update from a page in the user admin, instead of the inline system of the this page editor.

Hello,

In order to do this you need Advanced HTML Editor 3, not the Online page addon.

Here under the videos tab you can watch the video tutorials, that are showing how tou use the HTML Editor 3 with a database and insert/update record: www.dmxzone.com/go/18424/advanced-html-editor-3/
