Hello David.

You can copy and paste from Word. You can also copy and paste from any web page and preserve the layout. Simply mark the selection press ctrl+c and then when you are logged in within editor press ctrl+v.

Thanks Vulcho,

The ctrl+c and ctrl+v both work well, which will make the editing simple for the people using this website. Could I make a big request for copy and paste buttons to be included in the html editor toolbars - it would make life much simpler than having to switch from buttons to keystrokes.

Two more issues have appeared
- one of my pages is based on layers, which are controlled by "show" and "hide" classes and an on-click function. Each layer needs editing, but the editor appears not to work with these layers. The 5 editable regions show up with "pencil", but the dialogue box does not open in any of them. Pages without layers and multiple edit regions work OK. Is there an incompatibility with layers?

-the editor works well in IE, Firefox and Safari, but not Chrome. In Chrome, the dialogue box appears and I can add or delete text, but the buttons (format, save, close etc do not function).

Thanks again for your help - I can see that this will be a very useful tool, once I sort these issues out.

Regards David

Thanks for your speedy reply and apologies - I should have done that straight away.

The page with layers is www.mygoodshepherd.org.au/who_we_are.html (logon is bluefish and password is tlf1982).
For comparison www.mygoodshepherd.org.au/index.html (same logon) has no layers, but multiple editable regions and it works.

The site is still under construction.

David

Hello David.

The password provided says invalid login.
Can you make sure that the login credentials provided are correct?

Hi Vulcho,

The logon and password are correct - I just tried it successfully. They are all lower case - maybe you thought the closing bracket was part of the password, but it isn't. Sorry to confuse if that was the case.
name: bluefish
p/w: tlf1982
(i.e. t-ell (letter not number one)-f-1 (number not letter)982)

Were you using Chrome as your browser - i have had problems with it (see thread above, whereas the other major browsers work well.

Regards,

David
