Hello Steve.

Can you describe the message you receive before the DW crash?
Also can you specify your DW&OS versions?

Regards:Vulcho.

When I add the photo and press ok the screen fades to white and it says 'Adobe Dreamweaver has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is avaialble'.

Hello Steve.

I don't think this is problem with our extension , because i can't recreate such issue with the same configuration here.
Can you please try to clear your DW cache file? Just in case there is a javascript error. The following article will help you:

Clearing Dreamweaver's cache

Hello,

What are the images you are using: Type, size and dimensions? And how many are they?

I'm using jpg's 960 x 350 only four or five per slider. I have one slider that works fine. It's only when I try to make a new one it throws Dreamweaver for a loop. I tried it in CS4 as an experiment, but it doesn't work with CS4...

Hello Steve,

Are you using the "use resizer" option?

Hello Steve.

We are unable to recreate the issue here.
Let's further investigate:
Are the both sliders using one same folder setup for the images?
Are the both sliders have same dimensions for the resizer options?
Can you send me a copy of your page to my e-mail:

I use pictures I've already sized for the slider - 960 x 350 px,no thumbnails. I've deleted the .dat files on both versions of Dreamweaver and cleared the cache. I'll send you a copy of the page as it's not been loaded to a server yet - still testing. In the mean time, I'll completely restart the slider process by deleteing all the pictures and folders.

I found what I think was the problem with the Nivo slider crashing Dreamweaver. I turned off the 'resizer' option and it seems to be working properly (for now)....

Hi Steve,

If you use the resizer and DW crashes, could you specify what are the exact paths of the source and destination of the images? Do those folders exist?

Also what kind of JPG are you resizing? Those are not accidently made with the photoshop saveas jpg instead of save for the web...?

Maybe you can try with other regular jpg images?

If problem still persist, when Dreamweaver crashes, it offers to send more info to microsoft, could you look up the details and send those to me? Also some of the jpgs that are giving the problems.

Greetings,
George
