The map generated by DMXzone google maps is generating popup boxes/links to google.plus pages. Clicking on areas on the map automatically shows the google plus links, not the linked site url. Is there any way to prevent that within the script?

I am trying to feature my affilate links but the google plus pop up windows and links destroy my marketing plans - and I apparently provide such service free of charge to google. Nice...

If you guys cannot find a way to disable such google feature, I will have to look for an alternative script that uses bing or yahoo. I like your script, but I cannot allow that to happen.

Hello,

Can you please be a little more detailed? What do you mean by:

Please provide a link to this problem.

Take a look at this link:
www.lasvegashotels-nv.com/las-vegas-hotel-map.html

Click for example on the small square by "Bellagio." You will see a pop up window from google. Click on the "more info" link and you will be redirected to a google plus page, not even at the website/url of Bellagio.

My affiliate links target most hotels in las vegas. If google inserts a bunch of links on the map, they/google get a bunch of free page views courtesy of my ppc strategy, and I lose money on wasted ppc and I lose potential clients.

I know this has to do with google not with you guys. I just hope you are able to add some code to disable the google pop up windows.

Hello,

Those are not ads, but registered places on google maps, and this is how google provide their maps.
Unfortunately this cannot be disabled.

Is there any possibility that the DMXzone Google Maps could have bing maps as a second choice?

google forcing pop up windows for "registered places" on maps which do not contain url's of companies' websites is in the grey area of questionable practice, I think, because the links are google links.
