Is it possible to make Nivo Slider proportional in universal Responsive design

hello DMX team.Is it possible, in universal Responsive design, to make Nivo Slider proportional in place of the product image in pages from InnerPageWithSidebar.dwt ?
I tried to change the img dimentions but it doesn't work: Nivo Slider comes up to the sidebar.
