Unfortunately this is not possible. This can be achieved if you have another page for the articles and filter them by id for example.

To be correct - this is possible, but with a bit of hand coding. I will send you an explanation to your email how to use the detail region with a link and no page refresh

Going to give it a try in a few minutes. Oddly enough that is very close to the way I used to do it with the extensions before I discovered how to properly use the detail region.
