Is there a way to strip out html tags in a text data field using the formatter?

I am redoing a database application that in a text field within a database the old system added html tags for formatting. In the new system I do not need the html tags in the text. Is there a way to strip it?

Hi Brad,

Yes! We are actually preparing an update for the Formatter for next week that will have exactly such filter! Also a few other more nice ones for smart shortening of text.

Greetings,
George

Well just use our Advanced HTML Editor 3 to edit your content and it will clear Word markup automatically.

Is there a way to only strip out specific tags (like img, embed and table)?
