Do I understand from above that multiple update is not yet supported?
In the extension overview is mentioned multiple update:
Update record - Use the update type of action to update existing records in a database table. You can also update multiple records.

what happened with this I dont see that it ever got implemented will there be any version tat includes drag and drop table reorder?

Multiple update has already been integrated in the database updater, so it is possible to integrate 3rd party drag/drop scripts with it (for example jquery UI draggable).
We have not released any drag & drop extension yet, because there were not enough requests about it during the past couple of years. We've been busy with integrating new features with higher priorities. If there are enough requests in the future, we will consider creating such an extension.
