Please put this website on a testing server where we can access it and inspect it while it is on your server. From your explanation it is not very clear what exact the issue is.

ok let me try and explain again as I dont have the time to set this up on a live server in a test area.
I had previously the DB plugins installed (all of them), now I have installed the security plugin.
The db connector still works fine, my data is displayed without a problem. The updater and insert is not working and neither is the security plugin.
Since I installed, I now get a pop up box telling me that the html5 data binding plugin is missing or required, yet it is installed and worked fine previous to installing the security plugin.
I get this error here in my lab and when viewing in live mode.
I do hope this explains better!

Hello,
Due to the major updates of HTML5 Data Bindings, DMXzone Database Connector PHP/ASP and DMXzone Database Updater PHP/ASP we have a a special update procedure that you need to follow in order to update your DB extensions.
Update procedure for DMXzone Database Connector PHP/ASP:
Note that you need to reapply all the current Database Sources in your site. Just go to Site / DMXzone Database Connector / Manage Database Sources ... and then click on "Reapply All"
Update procedure for DMXzone Database Updater PHP/ASP:
Note that you need to reapply all the current Database Sources in your site. Just open the Site / DMXzone Database Updater / Manage Database Actions ... and then click on "Reapply All"

I am having the same issue on two different computers.

I have applied the security using a database just as the video shows and using the bootstrap modal login form. When I go to the page - instead of the login modal opening up I get a square box pop up that just says that "HTML5 Data Bindings is Required!" and a close button. Clicking on the close button closes that box but the page is not accessible because of the fact I didn't get a login.

So now I had to remove the security so I can keep working and now none of my data is working.

Now I have the security working but the data will not work on any pages that are in a sub folder. Only works on files that are in the site root. They worked before I did the 'Re-apply All" as instructed above.

@Jamie

I have added the line:
<script type="text/javascript" src="ScriptLibrary/dmxDataBindings.js"></script>
and placed the relevant file in the subdirectory.

I now no longer receive the error message regarding the data bindings.

I am already bald, so no hair pulling anymore.

Hello All,

Are you trying to use the security provider on pages that don't have any data bindings data on them?

@Teodor
Yes. There was no mention that we should have the data bindings on the page. It was only when I looked at your example that I discovered the answer to our problem.

Which brings me to a point that has been bothering me for some time. When following the tutorials (videos), we are not shown what the code should look like. It would be handy to have a zip file with the code so that we can see where we have gone haywire.

Hello,
The security provider protects the dynamic content placed on your page using the HTML5 Data Bindings if you don't have such data on the page there isn't much to protect actually ..

Hello,
Where is the dynamic data on this page ?????

Sorry, something wen amiss. I meant to show the video called Using Bootstrap Login Form.

And while we are at it, there is no mention that we do not need to create the form, merely have a link to the relevant bootstrap files (JS and CSS).

This video tutorial explains how to use the built in login form functionality only, not how to protect your page. And also it says on 00:25 "We already created the site security provider".
The rest of the tutorials show how to setup the site security provider in order to protect the dynamic data.

Yes Teodor.

I guess we, including a much admired Adobe Dreamweaver diehard, have been drawing wrong conclusions. I'm just wondering how users of your product, with a lesser skill, will cope.

@ Teodor,
Thank you for the updated version where the HTML5 Data Bindings are no longer required. I guess common sense has prevailed once again.
