Hello Manuel,
First you need to create a security provider and then add a validate step.
Then on the page you want to add log out, as usual just:
- Add a dummy security provider executor (just add it with the default settings)
- Select the logout button and go to behaviors > control security provider executor > log out.

The security logout is already integrated within the VALIDATE step. You do not need to use it separately. Check the latest tutorials please.

Sorry but i can't find a tutorial where you explain how to use the new logout functionality integrated with the dmxzone server connect. I saw the tutorial "Database security provider and permissions" and i don't understand how can i use the logout function

The LOGOUT function as well as the LOGIN function are integrated in the step called Security Validate.
You do not need to add them separately, just add the Validate Step.

In order to log the user out:
On the page you want to add log out, as usual just:
- Add a dummy security provider executor (just add it with the default settings)
- Select the logout button and go to behaviors > control security provider executor > log out.

Hello, please first update your security provider extension to the latest version and then take a look at the following tutorial: www.dmxzone.com/go/32338/filtering-a-database-query-using-the-identity-of-the-logged-in-user/

Hi, it seems I missed something, although I followed the above mentioned tutorial:

My problem is, that the page which is set to "All logged-in" of security-restrict is still accessible after logout.
Also I cannot find the VALIDATE step in the tutorial.

Hello,
Not sure which validate step are you referring to but the latest link i provided (2 months ago) shows exactly what you need to do? Validate step is no longer needed, all should be done as in the tutorial above.
We need to check your site - with the login data, to be able to tell you what is wrong on logging out.

For the record:

Started simple: Single User Login to another page with a Logout button.
This method below does logout a user, but the second redirection step is necessary >>

On the page you want to add the log out button to:

1. Add the Security Provider Executor from the Login page to the Data Bindings on the logout page, using Server Action for Security
2. Click the Behaviors button, then add a goToURL behavior to onLogout event inorder to redirect to another page
3. Select the LOGOUT button on the page, then add a behavior > Control Security Provider Executor > Select 'logout'

This works for me.

Next I tried the Logout method used in the latest video about 'Filtering a DB query using Identity of Logged-in user' :

Server Connect
Created a Server Action 'Logout'
Added a security provider step selecting the linked login page security provider. **
Added a security logout step using security provider from the step above.

Data bindings
Created a Server Connect Action Executor: 'Logout'
AutoRun: Never
Server Action: Logout
Options > Behaviors > onSuccess > GoToURL > login.php

Selected LOGOUT button
Added behavior > Control Security Provider Executor > select Logout

This does NOT logout.

Debugged in Chrome:
When I click the LOGOUT button there is an error '401 unauthorized' on the server action file that contains the linked Security Provider (see ** above)
