As it is described in the requirements, in order to see the animations in the browser you need IE9 or newer: www.dmxzone.com/go/22550/html5-animate-css#requirements
Using older browsers the elements will be just shown, without animations. IE8, which is already 6 years old does not support CSS3 animations.

Elements connected to HTML5 Animate CSS are not shown in IE8. Can you please check this on my page I've sent you? Thanks.
