Hi DMX,
Thought I would share this with you as it may cause issues for other users of this extension.

We were having issues incorporating the Google Maps 2 extension content in to our page. It was loading the Google Map just fine on the local test server and everything was displaying correctly. It was not the same when we deployed the page to our live server. The map failed to display at all.

A quick review of the the Developer Console in Mozilla Firefox displayed the problem.

"Blocked loading mixed active content "maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false&language=en-GB"[Learn More]"

The script being referenced was using HTTP rather than HTTPS (we use SSL on our live server). This stopped the map from showing on our live server. We changed the script address to include HTTPS and all was fine and dandy. Our Google Map extension now works correctly with our HTTPS connection.

Screen shots below for others having similar issues in the future.

Updated to HTTPS:

Maybe an idea to update the link in any up and coming versions of this extension to avoid unnecessary support calls.

Hope that helps someone in the same position as we were.

Best regards,
Dave.
