When my map opens, the main marker location is centered - great! However, when I re-size the browser window the map stays in it's original position:

Is it possible to have the map respond to a user re-sizing their browser?

Unfortunately that's not possible. That is how google is handling the map resizing.
But you do not really need this anyway ... people are either loading your page on desktop or on mobile device etc. So they always get the map centered on load.

Centred on load will have to do. Thanks Teodor.
