There is Parallax Slider, HTML5 Slideshow, Nivo Slider and CSS Image Gallery 2 Support.

In my opinion they do very similar things. Is there a comparison chart or description on how to use which extension?

PS.:
We now have 4 of them but still not one which would allow us to manipulate images (crop, resize etc). The latter was announced some 30 weeks(!) ago.
