Do we have to buy the version 2 even though we already purchased version 1.02? - There seems to be no option to upgrade? Replies

I bought version 1 not even a month ago and now with the "special" upgrade it means I had to pay 45 Euros! There was no announcement that a new version was planned and I never used version 1 productively yet.
Two mails which were sent to sales@dmx.com stay unanswered.

Thanks for the reply, Theo.
But - well, I can't see it this way. A couple of days before verion 2 was announced, I paid 29 € for version one. I never used it yet - and I certainly would not have bought it if made aware that there is a version 2 coming, optimized for data bindings. Now I can "upgrade" for 15 Euros which will be 44 € alltogether.

Agree Greta. The upgrade should be free for the existing users.

The updates for our extensions are free.
There is an update price for new MAJOR versions. This extension had to be fully rewritten in order to be HTML5 Data Bindings compatible and as we value our developers' hard work, there is an upgrade price for this new major version.

Teodor,
we all appreciate the good work. It seems that my special case is not understood yet. I NEVER USED THE OLD VERSION because I bought it MUCH TO CLOSE to the NEW VERSION, timewise. I was made to pay the full price for an OLD piece of software which is now obsolete. This is what I don't understand.
I would like to give back the old version which is unusable. It would be nice for the sake of your cutomers to introduce any new version well in advance so that they are not trapped like me.
